How the daily works
- Every calendar day gets one shared puzzle: five questions generated from the date, so every player in the world hears the exact same notes.
- The mode rotates: intervals one day, chords the next, then note recognition, and back around.
- It's always piano at medium difficulty, so scores mean the same thing for everyone and anyone can answer on the keys.
- Finish all five rounds, then share your result card. It shows your day number, score, and streak, and never the answers.
Why a daily puzzle helps your ear
If you've ever planned a big weekend practice session that never quite happened, you already know the problem. Ear training rewards frequency over duration: ten focused minutes every day beats an hour once a week, because pitch memory fades fast and daily reps rebuild it before it slips away. A short, fixed appointment you'll actually keep is the easiest way to make the habit stick. That's why the streak counter is there, for the same reason Duolingo and Wordle have one: showing up daily is the whole game.
The rotating mode keeps your practice honest, too. Most of us have a favorite mode and a weak one, and it's tempting to only drill the favorite. The rotation makes sure intervals, chords, and single-note recognition all get their turn.
